Take a look at "link Lines" in help. I'm just discovering this feature myself, but it looks like this may answer the question of connecting items.
As I say, I'm experimenting with it at the moment to see whether it is better than the "traditional" approach of having a separate item for each interface. -----Original Message----- From: Morris, Scott [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 16 January 2002 14:26 To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] Monitoring multiple interfaces? I had to summit a question to support to find this. It is under SNMP sevices. You have to enable SNMP for the device. Right click on the icon and then pick SNMP view. Now how to take it to the next level where a connection can show up or down, they didn't provide any additional information on that. Also, on my router, icons showed up for all my interfaces, but when I tried to look at the list of interfaces my Frame Relay sub interfaces didn't show up. I see this as a new feature in 7.0 - I've read the manual and can't find reference to how to do this anywhere! I'd like to monitor multiple nics on servers, firewalls and routers - and be able to do this from one icon. Any ideas???
