We make custom recipients for each of our pagers with email access. If the pager belongs to Jon Doe, then it is much easier to remember [EMAIL PROTECTED] when sending a page, compared to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Just setup a new custom recipient with the pager email address and the outside address. Then, when a message comes from the SMTP client in Whatsup to the IMC in Exchange, it simply sends it back out the other address. You can then hide the address from the GAL so that only people that know the naming scheme will be able to send to the pagers. Works just fine. We now have pagers that accept text emails. For instance, [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'm having problems with WUG sending emails to the "outside" world. I'm running Exchange 5.5 with SP4. I need to configure my exchange server to relay the messages from the WhatsUpGold server to the outside world. Any ideas on how I can do that?? Thank-you.
