I have several questions on the screensaver utility.

First, make sure that your web server user has rights to see the log file.
(I did not have it set correctly at first so it did not work).

Configure -> Web Server -> Users -> Enable Web Security -> <your user>
Highlight your user and then check 'Access Log'. Otherwise you will only see
%LOG_FILE% 6 when you type in http://<wup-hostname>/logview5.asp. Once I
changed it I was able to see the log file.

Second, I still could not get the svcstats.asp page to work. When I did all
it displayed was a bunch of numbers (see below). What is the HTML code
<!HVV> mean/do? This is what I see when I call the page on my server:
34
0
0
5
0
0
38
0
0
16
0
0
49
0

Third, I am assuming that the screensaver is meant to run on the WUG server
and not a monitoring workstation. Am I correct in assuming this? It would be
nice if any monitoring system have a WUG screensaver that would do the same
thing. Now this would be invaluable!

Scott

Hello Frank,
from my point of view, it may be a problem, if Web security is enabled to
start the screensaver.

Frank,

No more configuration is needed. You can test it in your browser:

http://<wup-hostname>/logview5.asp should give you the last 5 log lines.
http://<wup-hostname>/svcstats.asp should give you 6 numbers

Also check in the screensaver config the host and port are correct.

Hope this helps.

Erwin.
