I had the same problem. I fixed it by uninstalling and installing again. It is now working just fine.

After three days running, it's memory usage is just over 108MB, compared to my online system Version 8.00, build 2002.12.17, which is using about 12MB. Chatter on the 8.01 patch issues has died down. Is the basic conclusion that the patch is fine, and that the issues that many people reported were all isolated to their individual installations (how the app is configured at their site)? Note that the Hotfix contains just two files: 1) snmpgrph.exe 2) WinEvnt.exe There should be no impact on either wugsvc.exe or WhatsUpG.exe. When I try stop the service it times out and the service show the status as "Stopping". The service was starting/stopping just fine before the patch.
