hi Jan

could you try the following:

instead of using hte exchange plugin could you just create the exchange services using NT service type.

and assign those to your e2k server and remove the ones of the exchange type you created using the exchange plugin

does that work?

Hi,

I have did the following to monitor the Exchange Services:
Installed WUG.
Installed Exchange Plugin.
Created a new blank map and added one of our E2k servers.
Went to "Configure - Monitors and Services" created a "New" one with Service type "Exchange".
I deselected all tresholds and selected just one service.
I did this for all Exchange services.
Then opened the properties of the E2k server and added these servcies to be monitored.

They all turn red after a while...

:(

the exchange plugin is monitoring all possible exchange services.

many of us don't run exchange event service and site replication service.

remove those services if you are running exchange 2000.

configurable tresholds to monitor

untick the cluster box if you are not running a cluster

see if it works.

if it doesn't remove the parameters one by one and see if it starts to work. if it does, try configuring the parameters till you find the correct tresholds.

hope this helps

Some more info:

The services that are detected automatically are OK, the custom Exchange services don't. :(
The account running WUG has rights.

Dear all,

I have just installed the products mentioned above.
I would like to monitor the Exchange services, but when I try this on one of my Exchange 2k servers it says that all my services are down?

Must I install something on the Exchange server?
How should I handle this?

Thanks for your replies,

Jan
