I would like to see a local application that you can distribute to many people that acts like the local console does, which allows you to edit maps and then push the .WUG file back to the server and have it inserted and activated.
It would require file locking on maps (so 2 people can't edit the same map at the same time) but it would vastly improve the product in a direct and meaningful way. Once they accomplish what Steve has said, they should be able to continue and move the console app off the server and distribute it. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Steven Williams Sent: Tuesday, June 08, 2004 5:29 PM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] Running What's Up Gold as a service Ipswitch should be concentrating on allowing WUG to run as a service, but be able to run the local console to modify and update the service without having to stop it, and then causing the false alarms. Plenty of other apps can do this already, Steve Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
