The only thing that would probably have to communicate with the SQL
server is the WUG server; therefore, a good security config might help
prevent that particular threat.

Will we be able to choose whether or not to use the SQL server for 
storing the program data?  I am not sure I want to maintain an 
additional SQL server, especially the desktop edition.  Microsoft hasn't

been very good at supporting it, thus we end up with problems like SQL 
Slammer.
