I'd be careful with that autofixing of double redirects. Last I checked 
the 1.13 version was buggy.

For the tech minded... ;) 1.13 includes my rewrite of 
Database::tableName, its quite possible that the techs could set 
$wgSharedTables[] = 'interwiki'; and make interwiki links shared. 
(unless there are issues limiting to local only)
