Fade-out animations on roll-up hide/shows such as on enhanced watchlist and hidable tables **are not an appropriate animation** to have in the first place, and this particular animation should not be used in that particular area. Those should be removed, independently of whether or not they are slow or people like them. (An appropriate animation here would be a roll-up or roll-down.) Where useful and desirable animations that remain are slow on slower machines, we should see about making sure those fall back to much more graceful behavior.
