It *looks* complex. That's pretty much most of the problem. Here's our
desired use case:

1) User views a page that is deficient in some way.
2) User decides to edit.
3) User edits.
4) User has improved the world.

Here's our actual use case.
1) User views a page that is deficient in some way.
2) User has no idea they can edit.

Ok, moving on...
2) User decides to edit.
3) User sees wikitext.
4) User runs screaming.

We're not in a position to offer training to our potential end users.
