Steve,  Did you check those voltages ??

Something else that you could check, but make sure that you are 
hanging onto the case with one hand, is to have a feel with your 
finger, right at the base of the CPU heatsink and see if its getting 
warm !!  I will bet that its not !!!!

You can temporarily disconnect the CPU fan to check this.  Under 
normal conditions it will get very warm quite quickly, say 60 seconds 
or less.

I have a thermistor contact probe attached to a 10" long wooden stick 
that I use to measure CPU temperature's.  Anything between 45 and 65 
C would be a normal reading on a functional machine.
