My apologies, I guess colour blindness could be an issue also? Although
I've never seen an ATX supply that was wired differently, even the Dell I'm
using right now has the green wire in the correct place.
The pins to short on a 20 pin MOLEX connector are Pins 13 (Signal Ground)
and 14 (PS_On). For a 24 pin MOLEX connector, short pins 15 (Signal
Ground) and 16 (PS_On). The pins are always in the same position relative
to pin 1. Pin 1 is on the opposite side from the mounting clip on the
cable connector from the PSU. If you hold the PSU cable in your hand and
look down on the cable ends with the securing clip to the right, pin one is
the top left hand pin, standard wiring will have the cable from this pin
Orange and the pin shroud will always be square. So, the pins to short are
always the 3rd and 4th pins down on the opposite side of the connector from
pin 1 (same side as the securing clip).
Hope this helps clear up what I was trying to say.
