I have a box full of 3.5" to 5.25" drive adapter frames (that box sits next to a box full of 5.25" floppy drives). Get you one of those adapters from http://www.cyberguys.com/


I assume you have a case with plenty of 5.25" bays. You just mount the 3.5" drive into one of those 5.25" frames and install it into a 5.25" bay.

I have reversed the IDE cables and used the end with a small amount of space between the connectors on the motherboard end. That has worked on some occasions.
