FWIW I have 3 machines with Xp Pro installed & all of them have the "Accessories and Utilities" with a "Multimedia" sub-category.

No wonder I have "Multimedia" on 3 machines as this member of over tweaking anonymous has [hmmmmmmmmm] tweaked these 3 machines by editing the HIDE out of my C:\Windows\inf\sysoc.inf file.

Can you ever forgive me?

Actually MSFT shouldn't be hiding things then I wouldn't have to spend so much time un-hiding things. It's just like those file extensions & system files that I have to un-hide every time I build a machine. It's no wonder I have people hiring me just to tweak their machines since I seem to dream about tweaking my sleep.

Oh well, edit your sysoc.inf files & reboot. I'm sure that you'll see that Multimedia category that I've been talking about. Why should MSFT hide that? They just don't want the end user to know what's not part of the OS because they might uninstall things.

I just acquired a version of Xp Pro Sp2 that this person has tweaked the full install down to 175megs. Heck SP2 alone was 275 meg. I have to learn how he did it. To Tweak or Not to Tweak that is the Question that I always must answer Tweak, Tweak, Tweak.

ok, it's off to the funny farm I must go a tweaking all the way.
