With DirecTV you can pay $10.95/mo for HD Channel access but I can capture HDTV only from the OTA antenna.

I don't have an HD TV set

Don't need one with an HDTV capture card as it turns your monitor into HDTV if you don't send the output to a boob tube.

OK, with satellite TV and an HDTV capture card, I can connect my antenna and get a few local HDTV stations.

What's this about sending output to a TV?? The output of the capture card? Won't it be HD? And if it is, can I play it on my non-HD TV? And why would I do that if I get the non-HD versions of those channels from the satellite?

Thx.
