Right, I don't want to start up that on-or-off-good-or-bad discussion either.
I do leave it on all the time, but on occasion when I have turned it off and 
then on again it takes too long to come up as far as I am concerned.
PS.  I have many PC's and this is the only one that behaves like this.

Then I also have that weird problem with the first time I click on something 
it takes a long time to happen, and then after that it moves along swiftly 
when I click on something.
I have cleared out my prefetch, so that isn't it.  It is truly strange.

 I would say to leave it on 24/7 and access is only a click away, but 
 that would just start up the whole on-or-off-good-or-bad 
 thread.  Although it has been a while since I've seen it bandied about here.
