 This is quite true. However, in order to do this, they'd have to know which
MAC addresses are authorized to use the network. This can be found by using
a sniffer, but, unless you're constantly connected, that takes the patience
of waiting for an authorized device to connect. My PocketPC's wifi card has
shown me that you can't go more than a mile without finding a completely
wide-open access point. So, unless you've got some data on your network that
will make you a specific target for a hacker, odds are, anybody who knows
how to get your MAC address and get on your network will also know that it
would be much easier to just drive down the street and hop on to a
completely unlocked network.
 Still, it's possible for somebody to get on your network, and you're not
100% safe. At the very least, you should lock down your computers to make
sure that if somebody did manage to get on your wifi connection, all they'll
get is the Internet.
