Sorry there aren't any because they would have to include Windows XP
operating system & I don't believe MSFT would like that.
Obviously I am not looking for anything with retail soft on them but
just a generic
bootable ISO with the basics on them that I can snark and with instructions
( I can burst the ISO, right ? } to fill with my own stuff.
What Bart has released with PE Builder <http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/>
is as generic as it gets & even then you MUST read every inf & html
file within each plugin folder for the specifics as they apply to
that app. There are plugins for freeware, shareware & retail apps but
yes one could build one that is completely freeware except for the OS
part. Where ever possible both Bart & I have included the freeware
apps already so in essence they are ready to run just that you have
to turn off any plugin that you don't have apps for.
I have seen ( Wayne ) sites though I have not looked in a while that offer
step by step on how to build one but I was wondering if there any available
ready made.
I have my own set of plugins so that one can build their own XpPe
compilation that uses the Explorer shell as oppose to the Nu2menu
that Bart uses. My XpPe compilations are built using an older version
of PE Builder 3.12 & one can't get that version info directly from
the exe file because of the way Bart created them which is unfortunate.
Bart has just released PE Builder 3.19 & I'm working on a new
compilation based on his latest release as we speak.
