Hottest new gadgets? Typical Pundit without a clue. They've been around for over 10 years, I got my first one around 1995. I currently have about 5 in computers and 2 or 3 in my parts bin. Heck I gave up on VCR 3 years ago and use a homebrew PVR - MythTV http://www.mythtv.org setup that can record 3 programs concurrently while watching a 4th.
