Um, dare I say it? I use McAfee. I have no
problems. I only use the AntiVirus portion
of it although it came with it all. I use
Zone Alarm Pro for firewall and SpyBot Search
& Destroy, Spy Sweeper and Ad-Aware
plus I noted ZoneAlarm added a similar tool
recently but only ZoneAlarm & McAfee are on
all the time. I agree that the subscription
dependent upon email address is a moderate
problem. I just had to let my old sub
lapse but there was an overlap for a while
and yes, it did come pre-installed.
Actually I switched to McAfee from Norton
a number of years ago because I became very
irritated with things Norton was doing.
Admittedly I haven't tried to uninstall McAfee
so I have no idea what problems that might
involve.
