Hi Michael,

You can use the smp kernel patch on a non-smp machine by adding the following
line
to the /etc/lilo.conf file after the win4lin kernel entries:

                append="noapic nosmp"

Also, all our generic patches are designed to work with the generic linux
kernels
found on ftp.kernel.org only. They are not designed for any specific
distribution kernel.

It sounds like Win4Lin is perfect for what you need to do with Windows.  I hope
