I used the 2.2.16 redhat patch for the Mandrake 2.2.16-9mdk Mandrake
kernel.  Point to remember is that if you try a patch once, delete the
kernel tree and reinstall before trying again - rpm install over the top
only replaced some files and what was left caused subsequent patches to
fail to compile.

Doing an Office install now

I am using a 7 gig partition with 3 gigs spare.  Office hung, VirtualCD
showed no drives and win95 reported that only 2gigs free - cause appears
to be that win4lin maps the linux filesystem to fat16 which is 2gigs
max.  The MS fix is to use fat32 which is not possible.  Eventually
installed into a dd created 1.5gig image mounted on a loopback.  Hope
the upcoming version addresses this as there is a lot of wasted space
otherwise.
