Philippe, I am confused by your statement about Apple dropping support for EAP-TTLS. Do you have something official stating this? IOS9 clearly supports EAP-TTLS-PAP and my understanding is that MacOS 10.11 is essentially the same as iOS9 is terms of 802.1x.
