In this case, the DMCA might work to one's advantage, since from what I have
been hearing, LinkSys and crew are in violation of the GPL, and these types
of copyright violations are what the DMCA was crafted to protect. I myself
have actually turned the tables on MicroSoft when they tried to invoke the
DMCA to keep me from selling my used MicroSoft software on Ebay. Yes, Ebay
initially pulled my listing but I was able to force them to put it back on,
since MicroSoft chose not to sue me (I invited them to). This is covered
under the DMCA.

None-the-less, I am not a supporter of the DMCA, but sometimes careful
reading of it can allow you to turn the tables on those trying to use it
unfairly.
