We've gone back and forth between using the same SSID and numbered SSIDs (e.g. Hotel Name 1, Hotel Name 2). The benefit to the latter is that it's easier to troubleshoot a broken AP, given that you have a map of room and AP locations. If people in room X can't see the AP with the SSID "Hotel Name 2" even though you know they're right next to it, then you know you have a problem with an AP. You lose the ability for hotel guests to roam without disconnecting, but that probably doesn't happen very often. If all the SSIDs are the same, then you have to get the BSSID somehow to determine which AP they're on or can see.
