Mike, The pvc standoff you have for the repeater antenna is mounted horizontally and the wind would have to blow just right in order for it to make any sound. I think the wind needs to blow across the opening close to 90 deg to create the sound. If you mounted the 2 in pipe vertically then I bet it is you culprit because the wind can blow from any direction and still blow across the opening to make the sound.
As for the SDR-IQ, I bet that is a sweet radio. I have been thinking about a 160m sloper or inverted v off of my tower at the house.
