Our first employee was a 14 year old kid that hacked into our server shortly after we started a dialup business in 1995. His payment for the next couple years was hardware. Dang, he must be nearly 30 now. I can promise you he was successful!
I went into the office one day and my partner said "We've been hacked". I looked at him dumbfounded, not knowing with "hacked" meant. He said I'm going to catch him next time. The next day he said "I caught him, you will never believe who it is, He is 14 years old and he starts work tomorrow."
