I stopped IPPay for some of the same reasons as Ralph and that they would not
provide the name of the customer who bumped their bill by claiming they didn't
know who we were after all of our ippay customers had been on the system for a
year or more. Plus they charged me for the transaction including a fee so a $50
loss became a $135 bill. With service like that, who needs them? I went to a
double entry system, write all transactions manually on paper and used the
Wispmon.com (which can use IPPay too) and they keep records in their database.
They are now known as https://sonar.software/ . They have a fully WISP centered
system with maps, ticketing, sales, FCC registering, fresnel testing, parts
inventory, parts sales and too much more to list here.

I will tell you my issue with IP Pay.

We aren’t large. Our network runs like a giant Hotspot and most customers pay
monthly when their time runs out.. Our billing solution(WiFiRush) uses
Authorize.net . Authorize.net sends a payment receipt with transaction number,
etc. to the Email address the customer provides. I also receive a copy, which
is automatically sent to a folder that is only used in case there is a
catastrophic failure of something and all billing records get lost.

IP Pay is inflexible and refuses to do that. They want my system to send the
receipt to the customer, which it does not. They also say that I must manually
look up records of any past transactions in their web site. This is cumbersome
and (for me) it is much easier to search for the customer name in my backup
receipts that were Emailed. I seldom need them but it is good to know they are
there.

I once almost started using them but this issue stopped the show. Unfortunately
they started billing me a monthly fee even though I never officially started
using them and never processed any transactions at all. It was a lot of
difficulty to make them stop charging me.

If they would simply send the receipts, like Authorize.net does, I would
probably switch to them since they are supposedly “ISP Friendly”. I can’t
believe this is not an option of theirs!

I think you need to re-visit IP Pay, Propay, etc. for current quotes. Stripe
absolutely is more expensive.

Lower cost on the CC processing, also, our current system is built on that with
tokens, so it would avoid us having to collect credit card information from all
of the customers again. The first point being more important than the second.

Seems like the BMU was a solution to a problem that didn't exist in the first

I imagine it's for new customers or customers stuck in their ways. Everyone
else running Powercode is already running the BMU and spending their time on
other things instead of replacing what's already working.

Your still around the business? I haven't spoken to you in long while.. I
was using iwisp.gr I just switched to powercode about week ago and my
powercode isn't working due to miktroik bmu is still in beta and everytime I
call into support I get excuses it just seems like powercode lacks the
support for there software. If powercode doesn't get there act together I
might be looking to switch to ubnt crm or sonar.
