About my mail, I was in the supermarket.

I tried to say that remove the non-linux code is not good idea. Why?
because this (dirty) code could be updated, you only need put the OS
dependent code in different files, and then load this code using the
preprocessor.

Then, you can continue working with the OS independent code, and with
the linux code. If other developers are interested in the non-linux code
probably they can help you. But if you remove the code, then the
non-linux people will never use wdm. More people using wdm will make wdm
better.

Best Regards,

My 2c: WindowMaker is my WM on /_a lot_ /of machines, including a FreeBSD machine I run.

I would be very saddened by the loss of it, because the only alternative would be fvwm2, and don't get me started on fvwm2.

I have absolutely no idea of the inner workings of WDM, but if I can be of any help to test stuff on *BSD and/or write some code (but mind you, I have no idea of what the code even looks like) I'd be glad to.

I have the feeling, though, that the official mailing lists for FreeBSD, OpenBSD and whatnot are *full* of really savvy people who can and will help.

That said, thanks Alexey for doing some work for us and thanks everybody else.
You guys are great.
