The alternatives mentioned were KDE4 (everyone left for Gnome2), XFCE, and one mention of WindowMaker which also mentioned that its a dead project .
Please just put SOMETHING up to make people aware that WM is not completely dead. If noone knows its there, it may as well be dead. Just a short note "this website is not being updated, but WM is alive. please check the mailing list HERE, and a fan site HERE" (eg link to a freaking WindowMaker facebook page if you have to)
