Thank you, Georg. Your valuable comments in that file actually convinced
me to stay with the "Paul Irish CCs" method. It just seems safer, as
well as relatively easy to understand. After all, this:

  .ie8 .hacked-element {...}

seems to me clearer than

  @media all {
    html:lang(en) body .hacked-element {...}
  }
