Hi Peter,
Today I took the plunge, and replaced 1.5 with 1.6-devel(I know I
know, it's not yet ready for production.... anyway, AFAIC it's the
only way to really test it!), I installed from Greg's PPA on my main
machine running Linux Mint 14.1 32-bit.
So far no major issues found, I think the WSPR Headline looks a bit
strange with the abrupt termination of the grey area, and I miss
being able to report the exact version (rxxxx) I think it's r5728,
but can't find the information anywhere in the running program.
You can reduce the width of the main window to get more sensible
headings.
The "About" item in the "Help" pop up menu should show the repository
revision that the branch was built from. You can also run the
application from the command line with he "--version" argument to
query the full version string.
The "About" windows doesn't give the "rxxxx" version, that's where I
expected it too..
Doesn't give it either, just:
Ah OK, this is a consequence of the way Linux packages have to be built,
the source repository is not available from the build host so the
current latest repository revision cannot be looked up. The aplication
build system copes with this by just using the application version
string alone.
Anyway, as I said I like it, and these are very minor issues.
