Hi Michael,

if there is really a delay of more than 2 seconds on TCP/IP traffic then 
I doubt much can be done at the quisk end of the connection.

Do you build WSJT-X yourself? If so I can suggest some minor patches 
that would allow us to verify what is causing this failure.

Alternatively if you are using the Debian package from the WSJT-X 
project web site, I can provide a package that has such changes and 
includes diagnostic instrumentation. All I need is to know if your 
system is 32 or 64-bit? I believe the Dell Latitude X300 is a Pentium M 
processor so I guess 32-bit.
