Hi John,

I have a late-2001 MacBook Pro and I have not experienced this issue (I have 
tried the “Tune” button steps to reproduce it also) on any version of OSX.  I 
did have issues with CAT control early on however.

FWIW, I have all of my USB devices going through a powered hub and I have loops 
of cable going through toroids on both ends of my CAT control cable - nothing 
on the SignaLink cables.

Not sure if that information helps anyone or not, but I thought I’d offer it up 
- happy to answer any additional questions about my setup as well.
