Hinted decoding is another name for correlation decoding or *Deep Search*. It's on the *Decode* menu. As for disabling the feature on HF: in general we don't like to forbid unusual applications of the software. DS might be useful, for example, for knowledgeable users trying a difficult path on 160 m or 630 m. There are many examples where information found in earlier manuals (e.g., those for WSJT, MAP65, and WSPR is not yet in the WSJT-X User Guide. Again, in my mind the problem is setting a balance between providing "enough" information and keeping the new User Guide from getting too big. Specific suggestions for new or modified wording in the User Guide are always welcome! -- Joe, K1JT ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Developer Access Program for Intel Xeon Phi Processors Access to Intel Xeon Phi processor-based developer platforms.
