Hinted decoding is another name for correlation decoding or *Deep 
Search*.  It's on the *Decode* menu.

As for disabling the feature on HF: in general we don't like to forbid 
unusual applications of the software.  DS might be useful, for example, 
for knowledgeable users trying a difficult path on 160 m or 630 m.

There are many examples where information found in earlier manuals 
(e.g., those for WSJT, MAP65, and WSPR is not yet in the WSJT-X User 
Guide.  Again, in my mind the problem is setting a balance between 
providing "enough" information and keeping the new User Guide from 
getting too big.

Specific suggestions for new or modified wording in the User Guide are 
always welcome!
