For confirmation: Just created an wsjt_log.adi file from my standard logbook
where all grid squares are in 4-digit format. Result: WSJT-X 2.0.0-rc2 now
recognizes all stations worked before as well as new grids, new grids on
band, new calls, new calls on band and so on as it should.

Conclusion: There really must be a bug, that 6-digit grids are not correctly
recognized by WSJT-X 2.0.

Really hope that this can be fixed.

Betreff: [wsjt-devel] Bug: WSJT-X 2.0 only recognizes 4-digit grid squares
but not 6-digit grid squares

Meanwhile I made some more tests. It is indeed the case that WSJT-X
2.0.0-rc1 recognizes from the file wsjt_log.adi only 4-digit grid squares,
but NOT 6-DIGIT GRID SQUARES! Please be so kind as to fix this bug asap.

When I change in the wsjt_log.adi file generated from my standard logbook
manually the an entry like <GRIDSQUARE:6>KM46ck to <GRIDSQUARE:4>KM46 then
the station is correctly shown as worked B4. For the GRIDSQUARE:6 entry it
is always shown as "New Grid". This is the reason why I have so many New
Grid false positives.

Betreff: [wsjt-devel] New Grid false positives

Hi,

Using WSJT-X v2.0.0-rc1 I am still having lots false positives regarding New
Grids. As there was no helpful answer to my previous post so far, and
assuming that WSJT-X is taking information about worked callsigns, grids, et
cetera from the file wsjt_log.adi, just made the following test: Created a
new wsjt_log.adi with all QSO entries from my standard logbook and saved
into AppData/local/WSJT-X directory. Result: WSJT-X 1.9.1 works with it
without any mistake regarding recognition of B4 stations, but WSJT-X
2.0.0-rc1 now SHOWS EVERY STATION AS A NEW GRID. Same file in the same
directory. Checked as examples SV5DKL, VP8LP and ER1PB. They are in my
wsjt_log.adi with following entries:

 <QSO_DATE:8>20170910 <TIME_ON:6>085300 <CALL:6>SV5DKL <BAND:3>17m
<FREQ:4>18.1 <MODE:3>FT8 <GRIDSQUARE:6>KM46ck <COUNTRY:10>Dodecanese
<NAME:19>Efstathios Maliakis <RST_SENT:1>2 <RST_RCVD:2>-8 <NOTES:6>Rhodes
<TIME_OFF:6>085500 <EOR>

<QSO_DATE:8>20171230 <TIME_ON:6>090400 <CALL:5>VP8LP <BAND:3>17m
<FREQ:4>18.1 <MODE:3>FT8 <GRIDSQUARE:6>GD18bh <COUNTRY:16>Falkland Islands
<NAME:10>Bob Mcleod <RST_SENT:1>0 <RST_RCVD:3>-11 <NOTES:7>Stanley
<TIME_OFF:6>090500 <EOR>

<QSO_DATE:8>20180726 <TIME_ON:6>144900 <CALL:5>ER1PB <BAND:3>12m
<FREQ:6>24.915 <MODE:3>FT8 <GRIDSQUARE:6>KN47KA <COUNTRY:7>Moldova
<NAME:17>Simanenkov Sergei <RST_SENT:2>-4 <RST_RCVD:3>-11 <NOTES:8>Chisinau
<TIME_OFF:6>145100 <EOR>

"New Grids" were exactly the grids which are in the adif file (in WSJT-X
2.0.0-rc1 of course as 4-digit grids).

Is there a bug in WSJT-X v2.0.0-rc1 recognizing 6-digit grid squares from
wsjt_log.adi file?
