Then Uwe reply 11 minutes later with the same offer - same rig at 5:39pm;

First reply - First chosen basis.

Let’s me know.

 Hi Bill,

I just check back my outbox to be sure about this but yesterday at 5:28pm I
offered to be part of the test for the only yaesu rig I own and wasn’t yet
offered to test the Yaesu FT-991.

Let’s me know about it.

Hi Benjamin,

you responded with an offer to test two rigs, I chose the one that no one else
had offered at that time. I am trying to spread the work across as many
responders as possible without duplication.

Wasn’t I the first one responder for FT-991 ?

Hi Uwe,

thanks for the update. I need quite specific test run and also to see the
diagnostic trace. I will send out a test plan once some issues for another rig
have been resolved.

Hi Bill and Mike,

For your information: I have just compiled wsjt-x v2.3.0-rc3 with a freshly
created hamlib (Build Date: 21-01-2021 at 11:16, source files from hamlib
master repository). Result: My Yaesu FT-991 seems to work without any
problems. Frequency changes and TX / RX work perfectly in both directions. I
did not find any undesirable effects.

Hi All,

apologies for the cross-posting.

Due to some recent Hamlib updates to resolve long standing issues with
band changing on modern Yaesu rigs it has become necessary to do some
urgent tests to verify correct behaviour. This concerns the following
rigs and their variants:

FT-450
FT-891
FT-950
FT-991
FT-2000
FTdx1200
FTdx3000
FTdx5000
FTdx9000
FTdx101
FTdx10

I am looking for owners of one of these rigs who are willing to run a
short test to gather diagnostics to verify correct Hamlib behaviour.
It will require downloading and installing a test version of WSJT-X
and running a short test plan, then sending back a log file. It should
only take about 30 minutes to complete. If the test passes that will
be all, if there are failures there will be an opportunity to help
with further tests to help with fixing any defects found.

The urgency is because I want to complete this exercise on as many of
the above rig models before the imminent General Availability (GA)
release of WSJT-X v2.3.0. Without this verification we will not be
able to ship with the latest Hamlib library code, which means many
recent defect repairs and support for new rigs will not be available.

I currently have access to to an FT-2000 so that one is already dealt
with.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

thanks to those who have kindly responded so far. I will initially chose
one of you for each rig model to do the tests, on a first replied -
first chosen basis, so apologies to those who don't get chosen, your
offer is still much appreciated. We have quite good coverage so far but
no responses yet from owners of the following models:

FT-950
FTdx9000
FTdx10
