I have this problem also. Fedora 34 XFCE4 desktop... I have now tried
couple of times and wsjtx crashes, but after renaming or deleting
refspec.dat I can use wsjtx again.
And haven't found that "core-file", what supposed done somewhere.
Searched whole HD.

Well, so far we are 3 Linux users affected by the same problem.

Let's see if some WSJT-X packagers for Linux would be able to discover the root cause of this issue.
