It's an Icom IC-7610.  I have it connected to the PC via the USB connection on
the radio.  Initially, I had selected Icom IC-7610 from the drop down menu when
I set it up.  But when I started using Log4OM I had to switch to OmniRig to
make it work.  Everything was working great until last weekend...I had done
some operating Friday evening without any issues.  I closed the applications
and shut the radio off when I was done.  I came into the shack on Saturday and
fired everything up then proceeded to try working some stations on 17M.  On the
first transmission everything was fine...but on the second cycle the tones came
out of my computer speakers instead of going into the radio.  I closed the
applications and started them back up again.  The same thing happened - first
cycle was fine, but on the second cycle the tones came out of my computer
speakers.  I couldn't find a cause because nothing had changed on the PC,
within Windows or with the applications.  So I uninstalled WSJT-X and JT-Alert
then downloaded and installed the latest versions of each.  I initially had
problems getting it all to work but was able to work through all of those
issues except the two mentioned here.

I recently updated WSJT-X on my PC to the latest version and ever since I’ve
noticed two things:

   - I sized the windows for the waterfall and decodes to my liking but with
the latest version, when I start the application the decodes window continues
to open up larger than the waterfall window, which stays at the size I set it
to.
   - When I launch the application it sets the frequency .055 Hz higher than
what the frequency should be.  I’ve included a screenshot of what happens when
I first launch the program.  I don’t know if these are true bugs or if I just
don’t have something configured properly.

Thank you – K7CB

Hi Stephen,

on your issue (2), what rig are you using and how is it hooked up to WSJT-X for
CAT control?
