OK I did find that – but it made no difference. For me anyway – it’s not a USB issue. It’s an audio issue.
I see now that my monitors (Samsung via HDMI) coupled with the NVIDIA driver/control panel, keep grabbing the audio. When my Tx audio drops, I can click my fingers and see the click on the radio scope. The sound is being re-directed from the NVIDIA/Monitors. If I turn these to OFF It stabilises. However, after reboot, the monitors grab control back again. I can’t seem to make this OFF settings persistent. I googled: "windows 10 USB ports randomly stop working" and got "Go to Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Change advanced power settings. Find USB Settings, then drill down to USB selective suspend setting. Disable the options next to On battery and Plugged in, then click Apply. You must then restart your PC to stop it from turning off the USB ports unnecessarily." ---Glenn, AF8C On 11/22/2022 1:27 AM, Alan McDonald via wsjt-devel wrote: > OK so I’ve been running standard V2.5.4, IC-7300 on COM6 > > I have made further observations. > > I have all the devices I can find set to not sleep. > > After leaving WSJT-X running for a while, I often come back to find it > won’t transmit.
