Toggling wwwoffle offline and online wasn't sufficient, but after a
complete reboot (which restarts wwwoffled), wwwoffle started working
the first time! I am thrilled with this fine program! Congratualtions
Andrew, and thanks!

Thanks also to all of you having helped me with this problem,
especially Thomas who also found the solution:
"MODIFY_RESOLV_CONF_DYNAMICALLY" in the main system configuration
file must be set to =no and the provider's dns numbers put into
/etc/resolv.conf in some other manner than dynamically by pppd, which
is the way my SuSE 7.3 was set up. I assume this means that I cannot
now use another provider unless I change the dns numbers first
manually.

Thanks for the basic information. Although I still get these "address
already in use" messages, wwwoffle seems to work.

I look forward to exploring wwwoffle's capabilities now!
