Only for broken Ubuntu builds when some specific features are required.
I am pretty sure that
sudo cpan -i Wx
will work just fine if you have a working system or prior
Alien::wxWidgets installed.
You just may not get Wx::Media depending on your version / build options
for wxWidgets.
