When I run Wx::Demo I can load a jpeg in its wxMediaCtrl demo. Does that

I guess it does, if the dependencies are not present, the standard
wxWidgets script does not even compile that module.
Does GStreamer com with Fedora? On the Ubuntu family, including Kubuntu
which I use, there is no wxMediaCtrl without installing the dependencies.
Actually, I cannot even remeber what most of the dependencies do, I just
know that I have needed them at some time in the past. Certainly the
lovely OpenGL module does not work without OpenGL. Try it on your Wx::Demo.
Also Wx::Demo will tell you what dependencies are not installed when it
starts. Eg some of the later modules.

Steve.
