Hello all, I keep getting the same error whenever I try to open XQuartz, which is,
"An error occurred while starting the X11 server: "Cannot move old log file "/Users/amy/Library/Logs/X11/org.macosforge.xquartz.log" to "/Users/amy/Library/Logs/X11/org.macosforge.xquartz.log.old"
Click Quit to quit X11. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple."
It appears there is no '/Users/amy/Library' directory. Does anyone know why it thinks there should be and/or why there isn't one? I'm thinking maybe it's a permissions error, but I'm logged in as the administrator, so I'm not sure.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, logging in and out, and doing a restart of the machine but to no avail. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!
