Why backup? Cause I'm paranoid. I'd like to keep the full history of the
1.x project, not just the last build. Maybe it's just me; if no-one else
cares, then just ensure the last few distros are backed up. -sc

Why whack the 1.x at the filesystem level instead of Attic'ing in the
repository? To reduce confusion and speed up checkout time - I thought Sam
was suggesting this (otherwise CVS checkouts from xml-xalan root have to
still look in all the attics...) -sc

Yup. But I thought Sam was still complaining about that? Personally I like
having the 3 trees living in the same place. -sc

Oh, and I said -0 cause I didn't quite want to do this so soon, not to veto
it. Any sort of '0' vote is non-binding I thought - just an opportunity to
throw out inputs.
