Now... Should we eventually implement a MapSet feature, where you can select different groups of maps at once (and probably a different set of properties for each), would you then migrate to the new system or would you still be missing something you need?

The only thing I can see the Auto Maps buying somebody right now is a way to not have to go in and change your selected maps as you move around, but you can do the same by selecting all maps at once in the Map Chooser.

I am entirely confused and my head is starting to hurt a lot. But I like the idea of map groups. Of course I kind of already do that. Here's what I do.

I have automaps enabled. I have expand dirs disabled. So my maps appear as groups (by directory) in the map chooser. I click on the groups (directories) of maps I of which want to change the properties and click on the Properties button. This brings up a list of the maps within those groups (directories). I then turn on or off (automaps on/off) the maps and set their layers and other properties as appropriate.

Well, you almost have it. Instead of enabling "Auto Maps", just leave those maps or directories highlighted in "Map Chooser" and these are what will now play.

Incidentally I find the radars almost completely unusable since they are completely black now. At times they work, but they break too often. I've been here enough to have heard all the discussions of color levels, transparency, and et cetera. It'd be nice to get a more permanent solution to this problem. In the meantime I turn it on briefly when I want to check the radar and otherwise keep it off so I can see my raster (and other) maps.
I now discard the online maps, and I am using the Ridge Radars someone posted here a while back. Not sure, but I think it was Jason.
