A few months back, someone (I think it was Jason) posted the
RidgeXXX.geo radar files.These do seem to be stable. I have been using
these (the ridge radars) for the last 3 months with no problems. Could
this be a fix?

I've been here enough to have heard all the discussions of
color levels, transparency, and et cetera. It'd be nice to get a more
permanent solution to this problem.
That solution has to come from the source of the images, and is not something
xastir can fix except on a band-aid basis.
