We have the entries for all the following, Worker server : VSMREQIN,VSMREQI6,VSMREQIM, VSMREQIU,VSMPROXY Request Server : VSMWORK1, VSMWORK2, VSMWORK3 1) Do we need to add VSMGUARD also ? 2) Is it enough to just login to the servers for bringing them up ( By doing this have we started the server ) ? 3) How do we provide Directory Manager authority to worker server ? 4) We have not did the step -1 yet in http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/xcat/index.php?title=XCAT_zVM_Setup#Configuring_z.2FVM.2C_SMAPI.2C_and_DirMaint we configured DirMaint and now working on SMAPI. Can we do that step 1 after doing this ? Kindly provide your valuable thoughts to the above queries. You just need to authorized the zHCP for DirMaint and SMAPI access (step 3-5 in http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/xcat/index.php?title=XCAT_zVM_Setup#Configuring_z.2FVM.2C_SMAPI.2C_and_DirMaint ). You can view any user entry by: 1. Request the directory entry ==> DIRM FOR <userid> GET 2. Open the reader ==> RDR 3. Find the file based on its user ID and hit F11 to peek at it.
