IIRC, in the past I had the same issue with the win2000 installer hanging... Yesterday I made some experiments with the xen-3.1.4-xvm bits, compiled from opensolaris b89 sources ( http://dlc.sun.com/osol/on/downloads/b89/ ); I was able to install windows 2000 just fine using the new 3.1.4 xen/xVM hypervisor, running on a 64-bit (post) snv_90 dom0 kernel, using an amd64 X2 cpu. It seems that windows 2000 hvm support will improve with opensolaris / xVM build 89, when it becomes available ....
