no matter. i'm glad to discuss the problems with someone, and the
responses come very quickly.

here is the output playing qbert, with bufsize 4.9 :

XDGA: info: found 53 modes:
OSD: Info: Ideal mode for this game = 425x256
VidMode Switching To Mode: 512 x 384
XF86-DGA2 running at: 16bpp
Using 16bpp video mode
Game uses 16 colors
info: setting fragsize to 512, numfrags to 7
info: fragsize = 4096, numfrags = 8
warning: gotten fragsize/numfrags differs to much from requested
assuming buggy OSS (sb64 / 128 pci?), falling back to timer based
audio
info: audiodevice /dev/dsp set to 16bit linear mono 22050Hz
info: sysdep_dsp: using oss plugin
info: dsp: using timer based audio
info: sysdep_mixer: using oss plugin

it does not say much, and i dont understand the fragsize and numfrag
things....

best regards,
clemens
